| Notes |
While it may appear similar
to an standard RGB image, this version of the Cone and
Fox Fur nebula in the Christmas Tree cluster was produced with Astrodon
narrowband filters. In this interpretation, Ha is assigned to Red,
SII is assigned to Green and OIII is assigned to Blue. Even after
4 hours, the OIII data was very weak except around the bright star S Mon
so the dominant color comes from the strong Ha data which is accented by
the weaker SII channel. The image has been cropped from the
original due to registration issues between the Ha data captured in
December 2006 and the SII and OIII data taken in February 2007.
